Invest in hands-on learning to train the media professionals of the future at Ohio University
Support the Neil Mahrer and Sonia Franceski WOUB Student Staff Support Fund and/or the Larry Katz WOUB Sports Student Leadership and Production Fund to provide wages to news and sports students working at WOUB while pursuing a degree at Ohio University. WOUB provides real-world, hands-on training at a professional PBS/NPR station in news and sports journalism and production preparing students to jump right into their media career upon graduation, making an impact on their career forever. Give now to make a difference for the next generation of media professionals.

If you make an OHIO Giving Day donation of $200+ to either WOUB featured fund on April 9, 2024, between the hours of 2-4pm ET, you will receive a voicemail message or video birthday greeting recorded by Ohio University alumnus and former WOUB student Brian Unger within the next six months. Unger worked on the team that launched The Daily Show on Comedy Central and as a satirical commentator on NPR’s Day to Day. The producer, commentator, host, actor and comedian’s other credits include: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Yellowstone, Some Assembly Required, and How the States Got Their Shapes for the History Channel.
