Gifts to Spotlight: 2014-2023 contribute to...

From 2014 to 2023, Ohio University Softball witnessed another period of success, marked by the tireless dedication of its players and coaches. From record-breaking performances to championship victories, this era left an indelible mark on the program. During this decade, players like Taylor Saxton and Mikayla Cooper showcased commitment that propelled them to the record books. Saxton's 223 games played from 2014 to 2018, and Cooper's 220 games played from 2015 to 2018, demonstrated their unwavering loyalty to the team and its success.
This decade also continued the offensive excellence of years prior. With an astonishing 241 hits and 198 singles, Allie Englant's consistency at the plate earned her a place among the best. Meanwhile, Katie Yun's impressive HR and RBI totals solidified her as a force.
On the mound, pitchers like Savannah Jo Dorsey and Danielle Stiene dominated the competition, racking up wins and strikeouts with ease. Dorsey's 89 career wins and Stiene's 44 victories showcased their control of the game. This decade also saw countless accolades. The group earned 10 All-Region selections, 36 All-MAC selections, 2 MAC Pitchers of the Year Awards, 1 MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year Award and 1 MAC Coach of the Year Award.
Under the leadership of coaches Jodi Hermanek, Kenzie Roark, and now Jenna Hall, the Bobcats have thrived. They captured both the MAC Tournament and Regular Season Championships in 2018 and cemented their status as one of the premier programs. In 2023, the program ended the regular season as the No. 2 seed in the MAC Tournament and advanced all the way to the Championship game to take on Miami (OH).
