Gifts to Spotlight: 1994-2003 contribute to...

In the dawn of the new century, Ohio University Softball witnessed a wave of excitement that changed the landscape of the program.
Led by players like Jen Morris and Kelli Bankert, this era of Bobcat Softball was defined by a relentless pursuit of greatness. Morris's remarkable .397 career batting average, alongside Bankert's impressive .356 mark, set the standard for offensive prowess. Morris's 257 career hits, the most in program history, also showcased her skill.
But it wasn't just individual brilliance that defined this era. Collectively, these Bobcats redefined the notion of teamwork. Margo Ruther, Marci Kitchen, Nicole Tangeman, and Jen Morris set record a number of doubles. And, on the mound, a new generation of pitchers emerged. Kasey Dowd, Heather Hagen, Annie Hare, and Kandi Rehard showcased precision and poise.
The achievements of this decade didn't go unnoticed. 26 players received All-MAC honors and Head Coach Tracy Bunge, received MAC Coach of the Year honors. Bunge was followed by Coach Roanna Brazier, who led the team to 204 victories, the most in program history.
