ABOUT THE DESIGNS
This year's Socktober designs are bold, cozy, and 100% Bobcat (figuratively, of course). Created by current students, each design reflects the creativity, talent, and hands-on learning opportunities that donor support helps make possible at OHIO.
During the 2025-26 academic year, a group of OHIO students were challenged to create and pitch original Socktober sock designs. Our three winning designers worked alongside University Advancement staff to gain real-world experience in design, fundraising, public speaking, presentations, and project management.
The result? Three unique sock designs that showcase Bobcat pride while celebrating the power of experiential learning at OHIO.
Cats' Cupboard, part of OHIO's Basic Needs Program, helps students access food and other essential resources when they need them most. By providing support in a welcoming, judgment-free environment, the program helps remove barriers that can impact student well-being and success.
A gift of $100 or more to any fund through Socktober provides a pair of OHIO socks to a student in need. If you want to have an even greater impact on the basic needs of OHIO students, you can give to the Cats’ Cupboard Food Pantry Fund, the Tom and Jan Hodson Student Adversity Fund, the Ohio University Student Emergency Fund, or another emergency fund that help meet students’ immediate needs. Your generosity helps students through challenges while sharing a little Bobcat warmth.
