In 1967, Band Director Gene “Coach” Thrailkill introduced the hard-driving, high-energy style and distinctive look the Marching 110 is known for today.
“Get There!” is the expression used to get hyped up and excited for a rehearsal.
Historically, use of “110” referred to the number of students in the band. Now, it reflects giving 110 percent effort including at practice and in every opportunity to march and wear the OHIO uniform. An energetic “Drive On” begins every Marching 110 show and sets its tone.
When the band is stacked at the sideline, we know they're ready to take the field!
